Default How does your DRRI sound with the 'verb at max?

A couple months ago I bought a used DRRI that was upgraded with Mercury Magnetics OT, choke and reverb transformer.

The reverb on this amp is just out of this world. At 3 it drenches everything and at 10 it's completely rediculous; the reverb is actually louder than the guitar signal itself.

I've been wondering since I got it: is this 'normal' for the DRRI? Or is this a quirk that comes from the upgraded reverb transformer?

BTW all tubes are as spec'ed by fender, ie 12at7 as reverb driver (V3) and 12ax7 as reverb pickup (v4).
