This is worth $400.00 but will cost another $150.00 or so to have a tech check it out and change the caps and resistors (if required).
This amplifier is not a 1963 model as the seller claims. It was built in November 1966.

If I lived there I'd snap it up... then again I do my own amp repairs and I'd likely turn around and sell it for a profit
You really dig those Bose amps, don't you Jukebox? I have to do some reading now, to see what all the hype is about
I can't afford another amp, but I like to keep up with the latest in amp technology

I'd go for it in a heartbeat. That's a heckuva piece of gear.

I think the biggest thing is the pure sound that comes out of it. A lot has to do with the 24 speakers that are about 4 inches. With the Bose, what you here at twenty feet, you here the same at 200 feet away. The same volume everything.

I play through two of the Bose sticks $5000.00 worth on Sundays on a sort of rockin' praise team. I think they really suck for a "real" electric guitar and really really suck with an electric bass. But they sound real nice in a small room for the electric accoustic and vocals, electric drums, and keyboard in a canned sort of way. They wouldn't work very well for a real rock band. But boy do they really stink playing my electrics through them. I can think of a lot of other ways to go for $5000.00

You must not have you EQ set right or someone has put a mod setting on it because I have three that I use out playing at all times .I also know a couple of Rock band who agrees with me that wouldn't have any other PA system. For an electric guitar you should ask Syncro what his 6120AM sounded like!

Hi Mike - what model Bose guitar amplifier system do you have. I only know of Bose as stereo/home theater systems.

That Bandmaster is not a 63. In 63 they had a brown face and white knobs. The numbers would be on the face-plate. But $400 is not a bad price for a black face 66'.

I'm a tube amp die-hard but I have to admit that the sound I got out of Juke's Bose was impressive. It was warm, alive and beautiful.

I think it's worth it (the Bandmaster) and encouraging to see prices that aren't out of this world. It inspires confidence in the idea of a future purchase of a vintage amp.

I see this morning its still up for grabs, may offer him 300...just dont know how much I have to put back in her to get it in playing shape, I do think 150.00 is tooooo low, from the looks of her its a total restoration, all caps, pots, etc...

I got a ton of info from NAMM on them Bose sticks when they first came out and that was the last I heard of them. I think The Paul Schaffer band on Letterman are still using them - have been since they came out.
When it comes to amps, I got so many I built I can't bother with more, even cool modern sticks HAHA.
I always wondered how guitar players use them, but that link you sent Jukebox had their amp modeler on there. Either that, or it was an electron stroboscopic subatomic particle seperator

There is always two channels that have modeling there if you want to use them. I did at first, but now I just "0' everything out and just adjust my hi,low's and mids to where I want them and use pedals. I know a couple of people that used a Small 4-6 channel board and try to plug into two Bose ,like stereo. That sounds like crap. most people who don't like them don't know how to use them! Like I said we have three of them and I've played to crowds of 6000 people with no trouble! Yet I can play load in a club and not have to worry about the sound bouncing off the walls!
