traded for a Randall Commander II
I picked up a Vox AD60VT about a year ago for 40.00 broken.. spent 2 bucks on parts, got her fixed... well, I traded it yestiddy for a Randall Commander II from 1977...
Holy cromola! 2X12 and like a gozillion watts of clean SS power! This out twins the twin... it is kind of Leo's loud and clean fantasy.... the guy has two 2 rock speakers in it and it sounds awesome....
I fired it up with my m9 and a tele... I ran it on 3 and my neighbor came over and said, "oh man! a new amp! how cranked is that thing?" when I showed him he started laughing and said, "that is rock n roll" (he likes bands like Bad Company)
it is a cool amp and I feel like I got it essentially for free.. now for my post leo freaks (music mans, randalls, rissons) I'm getting closer to having one of each. (I have 3 music mans)

I had a '77 Randall bass amp with 120 watts. You could pulverize granite with that thing and never reach break up.

Dang! I've never heard of these. They must be monsters! I thought my Hot Rod Deluxe was loud.

The whole family is awesome! they have been known to get another neighbor and put lawn chairs on our driveway and drink beer when I'm 'practicing' even though the garage door is shut.
Sarah, this thing can melt stuff it is so loud. I used to have a blues deluxe and it was loud... about a third as loud as this thing... it is like a marshall stack or two in a combo... but clean.
Sync--> yep, but it takes my pedals perfectly, so it is just what I wanted.

I've been looking for a Late 70's / early 80's SS amp for comparison sake. I'll have to keep my eyes open.
There is a guitar show this Sunday in Detroit, and I'm going in halvsies with a buddy on a $100 table. If I sell off $50 of old magazines I'll break even, and since I was gonna pay $10 to go anyhow . . . . I'll take a couple of other odds 'n ends, maybe even an RE-301 and see if I can sell it for going ebay rate ($1000).
