Hey Mr Mug, would you ever do a custom colour Tolex cover? Does it come in a lot of colours? Would it be super expensive if I asked for that?

It's the conveyors that scare me

In sixth grade, we had to come up with a packaging scheme that could protect an egg when dropped from the top of our school. That was a valuable lesson

Hi Ms Pixie: No upcharge for that, assuming the tolex is the same price--a $20 difference at most. Grill cloth is either brown or black.

ms pixie riot: I do believe that Mugsy has some good sound clips on his site, just go here and take a look.
http://www.delisleguitar.com/index.p.../56-amplifiers
Scroll partway down the page and there are 3 clips of his smaller 5 Watt amp. The clips are labeled "Dirty Nickel".

I'm behind on clips. I'm sorry about that

My recording gear is at home. Since I set up/mic the amps in the family room, I have to coordinate with the wife and baby. I'll see about scheduling a "session."

ms pixie riot: I also just recieved one of Mugsy's fantastic 15P amps. Got mine in a 2 piece unit. Just bought the head as I have my own cabs I want to run it through first. I just bought a digital recorder and am learning some of the user functions before making any clips. Might get to it next week.

I bought a Tascam DR something hoping it would do the trick: Just pop it my pocket, take it to the shop, and everybody is happy. It didn't quite work out that way. I'm back to using a tube condenser mic and recording to a console in a separate room. It takes a little more time to set up, but I like the results a lot more. I can also hear how things are sounding through the monitors without dumping mp3s on a computer first. I'm so old fashioned

Mugsy: I bought the Tascam DR-07 and it works relativly easy. Did have a bit of a struggle getting the MP3s on the computer but did work it out. Mine also has a headset jack that most MP3 players earbuds will plug into. The few things I have done with it is so far are OK for my needs.

That's what I bought. A headset jack...you must have read the instructions It is a neat little device. It's amazing what they can squeeze into small packages. The Tascam will be in my pocket at the upcoming Black Crowes show.

Hey if you BOTH record clips I'll have lots of material to listen to.

In talking with my Tommy, essentially what he's said is even if it's more expensive, if I decide this is THE amp with the sound I have to have, we'll spend the money on it. Like with my guitar, he's stressing that I should have whatever feels right for me, and that I have good instincts on this.

Sooooo I just need to be patient and wait for clips. Patient. me. Yeah right. :P

Don't you have a 5129? I have one of those, too. I can use it to record.
