I'm running a five year old Novatech PC, 3gig ram, 360gig drive but with a 500 gig back up hard drive and boy have I been pleased I've had that. Windows XP, old but for music takes a lot of beating, running old version of Cubase.
It's amazing what can be done as you've well shown.
