I used to feel the same way. The Godin is very different to my other guitars. Early in the year I got a Washburn J3 (ES175 copy) and since that time I've wanted (serious GAS) a small non cutaway Jazzbox with one pup. No idea why and not something I'd previously considered. After extensive research of possible contenders decided on the 5th Ave.

I'm happy. Sounds nice, feels nice and plays well.

Sounds good with some dirt and so far no problems with feedback. Godin claims that the pickup layout/installation minimizes feedback. So far so good. My Washburn would be feeding back at the same vol/distortion levels.
