I just bought a 2003 as well. No lack of Gretch-ness here. It's a wonderful instrument. Keep in mind, if you care about such things, the scale length isn't the 24.6" as in the 6120 series. It's the 25.5" like a Stratocaster.
My only complaint was the rattle-prone bridge. Once I set up the intonation the way I liked it, I put drops of super glue at each screw to stabilize it. But ultimately, I bought a Compton bridge.
