I don't know if the finish on your guitar is the same, maybe try somewhere on the back, see if it works. It may save you 59 hours of sanding.

I can only assume that Strat has a polyurethane finish like most Fenders so I will try it out. Although something must be different as I've heard of people using a heat gun and having the finish peel right off. Although they must use it more heavily as there are tons of burn marks in pics I've seen. Thanks though.
