Hey Freddy,

Well, this part of the story is second hand and not from my personal experience, but what I've been able to piece together from Danny and Jeff is:

Ben works for a cable company doing installations. Someone was moving into a house, had ordered this company's service, and Ben was the one to do the installation.

While under the house, Ben saw the back of the amp (the back panels were missing on the photos he sent me, so I assume they weren't on then) and thought it was an old tube television set. When he was back in the house proper, he ask the new owner of the house if he knew there was an old TV down there.

The owner said he didn't. Ben asked if he could have it and the owner said something along the lines of, "sure, get it out of there."

After Ben pulled it out, it was clearly not a TV but a guitar amplifier. The amplifier didn't thrill the homeowner any more than an old TV did, so he was happy to let Ben have it.

Jeff has informed me that there is some water damage on the amp, perhaps from the big flood in Nashville a few years back. The speaker has a tear in it, but it does power up. Anyway, Ben had reached out to Danny at Standel for a little history and advice on restoring it.

As far as who did take the amp...well, the statute of limitations in Nashville on theft is two years, legally. I don't know what the statute of limitations is with Karma.

I do know Karma has treated me extremely well these last couple of days, and I need to keep the ball rolling and do right for Ben, Jeff and Danny.

Thanks,

Jake
