Sorry about that, typo. I meant ground-wounds, not round wounds. Ground wounds are ground, so the ridges on the strings from the round wounds are flattened. They're a halfway house to flatwounds.

I liked them more than flatwounds, but not much more....

If you're after a vintage tone, then they'll help get you there. The bass response killed it for me. Dull bass thump,
