Maybe I'm just on crack. but My flanger is a lot more than a flanger. I can get most of the modulation tones from phase, phase-matrix, chorus, and of course deep flanger from it. I can even use to to tweak my distortion into a fuzz tone with octave-ups. I just use the Chorus on my amp the very very few times I use it, and sometimes on the pedal.
